New Site

… and new name! This post marks the opening of Orange Byte Design. As I get content on here things will start to flesh out. Here, in the blog area, I'll be featuring articles that focus on my areas of expertise: Animation, Art, Design, Programming and everything in between. The work area will fill up rather quickly over the next few days as I gather and upload my past projects and portfolio pieces.

This site is the result of what I can do when I don't know what I'm doing. I set out from the start to build my own CMS (Content Management System) and Blog. With almost no documentation on how to go about building a CMS I tackled it as a blank slate (I didn't even know the programming languages needed to get started). After several setbacks, major epiphanies and long nights (~15 hours a night studying/working) I managed to learn how and successfully build the site you see before you. I plan to further refine the code and repackage the CMS for distribution in the future.
